He did so many examples in BOOK 1. The fact that when he has taken hostage the daughter of the priest Chryses who serves APOLLO,(on the right) The god who represents the Sun, he said to Achilles that he wanted Chryseis more than her wife. Basically, he doesn't know to follow his heart. He didn't know who to love, he DOESN'T even love his wives. He just took them by lust, i think. Many teenagers today thinks that it's fun to love out of sex. I was raised not to believe that sex is no for fun, as early as 8 years of age, i know that sex is sacred. I encourage you to don' t do this, ESPECIALLY when you are Roman Catholic.
Even in battle and decisions, he doesn't follow his heart. He was warned by Zeus, (At the right) The God of the gods, through a nightmare. Though he still doesn't know what to pursue, to forcibly take Briseis from Achilles or not. He doesn't know if he will suffer from the wrath of Zeus or not.
Young people today is afraid of suffering. Thinking of Suffering is sometimes an Obstacle of following your heart. You know why you shouldn't think of suffering when you want to believe in your heart? Well then, you should think carefully of this excerpt:
“My heart is afraid that it will have to suffer,” the boy told the alchemist one night as they looked up at the moonless sky.
“Tell your heart that the fear of suffering is worse than the suffering itself. And that no heart has ever suffered when it goes in search of its dreams, because every second of the search is a second’s encounter with God and with eternity.”
-An excerpt from Paulo Coelho's "The Alchemist"
Isn't it inspirational? I thank Mrs. Joy Villegas for making us read that book.
Well, guys, I Invite you to follow your heart. Don't be like king Agamemnon. He didn't follow his heart, that's why he's into several serious trouble
